Yuxin Cha is a Los Angeles based cinematographer and virtual production visual director working across narrative film and high-impact vertical drama. Her cinematography has been recognized by international film festivals including Dances With Films, Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Film Festival, and NewFilmmakers New York.
In parallel with her festival work, Yuxin has served as director of photography on multiple short-form drama series distributed on DramaBox, with individual titles surpassing 100 million views and cumulative global viewership exceeding three hundred million across platforms.
At the core of Yuxin’s practice is a simple belief: every story deserves to be told with precision, care, and emotional honesty. Whether crafting an award-winning short film or a fast-paced series reaching tens of millions of viewers, she approaches each project with the same level of visual intention and narrative responsibility.
Born and raised in Guiyang, China, Yuxin's diverse cultural background allows her to bring a unique perspective to her work as a cinematographer.
Trained at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television, Yuxin combines a classical cinematography foundation with an ongoing exploration of virtual production and LED-wall workflows. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to innovation, she continues to expand her visual language while staying grounded in character, story, and emotional truth.
